Aotearoa’s biggest band, SIX60, are proud to unveil Sweet Home Aotearoa, a brand new country and roots festival bringing a taste of Nashville to New Zealand. Set for Saturday, January 3, 2026, at the picturesque Matakana Country Park, this one-day celebration of good music and good times promises to be the ultimate summer experience.

Curated by SIX60, Sweet Home Aotearoa features a world-class lineup including Yelawolf, Tash Sultana (DJ Set), Tami Neilson, Hori Shaw, Brad Cox, South Summit, Rachael Fahim, TheWesternGuide, Rosie Teese, and of course, SIX60 themselves, blending Southern soul, Kiwi energy, and country swagger in one sun-soaked day of live music.

With the band’s vision to share “a bit of Nashville under the Aotearoa sun,” Sweet Home Aotearoa will pair world-class artists with laid-back summer vibes, delicious food and drink from local legends, and a uniquely Kiwi atmosphere. Whether you’re a diehard country fan, a roots revivalist, or just chasing that warm festival feeling, Sweet Home Aotearoa is the perfect way to start the new year.

We spent a lot of time in Nashville working on our album, it felt so similar to home. The authentic nature, story telling and power to bring people together that roots and country music have was so evident. We knew it was time for New Zealand to have its first country and roots festival - Sweet Home Aotearoa” SIX60.

Tickets go on sale at midday Tuesday 28 October. This is an all-ages event, though under 18s must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Round up your mates, grab your cowboy boots, and get ready for a festival of sun, soul, and Southern charm. Sweet Home Aotearoa is where Nashville meets New Zealand.
