All Stars Matariki

All-Stars at Lilyworld

Whanau-Friendly Concert

In celebration of Aotearoa’s first ever Matariki public holiday this June, some of our most celebrated and treasured Māori artists will come together for a free concert at Mt Smart Stadium’s Lilyworld on Friday 24th June.

Formed in Kirikiriroa, Katchafire have become a global roots reggae phenomenon. They have been bringing their classic sound to music lovers worldwide delivering one of the most authentic Reggae shows for the last 25 years. Katchafire are loved by New Zealanders of all ages. With five successful studio albums, multiple awards, platinum sales, and hits such as ‘Get Away’, ‘Love Letter’ and ‘Working’, Katchafire have soundtracked Kiwi summers for decades.

Anika Moa needs no introduction to Kiwi audiences. With a gift of story-telling through song, Anika Moa is one of our most celebrated (and crack up) artists. Anika has released six studio albums spawning tracks such as ‘Youthful’, ‘Dreams In My Head’, ‘Buttercup’ and ‘Running Through The Fire’. She also has three wildly popular children’s albums inspired by the tamariki around her. Any time Anika takes the stage, you know you will be treated to not only her incredible voice and songs, but you’ll also be laughing along at her classic sense of humour.

Rei (Ngāti Raukawa, Ngāti Pākeha) is a multi-talented musician from Wellington. Currently based in Tāmaki Makaurau / Auckland, his music seamlessly bridges multiple genres, in particular Urban and Electronic. With over six million Spotify Streams, four Waiata Māori Awards and four NZ Music Awards nominations, Rei is carving out his space in the NZ music scene. From Opononi in the North to Queenstown in the South and featuring songs such as ‘Hoki Mai/Come Back’ and latest single ‘Whakapapa’, Rei’s live shows have been wowing and empowering audiences with his seamless integration of Dance music, Hip Hop and te reo Māori elements.

While tickets are free, we encourage a koha (optional donation) of your choosing for this incredible line up. Funds will go directly to support the amazing mahi and intiatives of Papatūānuku Kōkiri Marae. There is a limit of 6 tickets per person and tickets for this event are limited.

A range of food and beverages will be available for purchase on site. Guests are able to bring their own home prepared food such as baking, sandwiches and fruit. Commercially prepared food and soft drinks/alcohol are not permitted into the venue.
