ROSE TATTOO ANNOUNCE FIRST NEW ZEALAND TOUR IN 17 YEARS
The Tatts are back! Australia’s toughest rock n roll band, Rose Tattoo have announced they will play two shows in Auckland and Christchurch this October. Fronted by Angry Anderson and revered by many, Rose Tattoo will bring out the one-two punch playing Auckland’s Powerstation on Saturday 26 October followed by James Hay in Christchurch on Sunday 27 October – the night before Labour Day public holiday.
Last raising hell in New Zealand in 2007 supporting Guns n Roses, this will be a whole new generation of rock n roll’s fans first chance to experience Rose Tattoo’s bruising live show. Formed in 1976, Rose Tattoo has been a defining force in the rock scene, with classic hits like "Nice Boys," "Rock 'n' Roll Outlaw," and "We Can’t Be Beaten." Their high-energy performances and gritty sound have earned them a reputation as one of the toughest rock bands to ever emerge from Australia.
Adding to the excitement, New Zealand's own Head Like a Hole (HLAH) will be supporting Rose Tattoo on both dates. Hailing from Wellington and fronted by Booga Beazley HLAH are renowned for their loud and intense live shows and are the perfect opening act for what promises to be a crushing night of rock n roll.
Tickets for both shows go on sale Monday 19 August at 2pm from Ticketmaster (Auckland) and Ticketek (Christchurch). Fans are encouraged to secure their tickets early, this is the first time in 17 years that Rose Tattoo have played in New Zealand and tickets won’t last long.
